Slumber

By Anthony Salandy

Noetic understanding is Bygone knowledge lost to eras elapsing, Where consistent bombardment Gives rise to false Admiration, A valse played in tempo allegro

And enacted with tactful haste

Much like faulty policies,

Beings rendered statistics,

Numbers to be gratified

And patronized, The creation of illusions

Reciprocally concocted

Through passivity, A consequence of consistent immediacy,

An expectation unravelling As dander tarnishes false grass And winds murmur tepid arias, Assaulting amber leaves

As ideological roots continue disruption covert.
